"No good dog is a bad
color" -- Max
von Stephanitz (breed founder)
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE
ARE NO HEALTH, GENETIC, OR TEMPERAMENT
PROBLEMS IN A GERMAN SHEPHERD
JUST BECAUSE OF ITS COLOR!!THESE
ARE ALL SIMPLY DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF COAT
COLORS & PATTERNS!
White was
disqualified in AKC in the 1960's, but is accepted by UKC as a
GERMAN SHEPHERD.
The WGSDCA and WGSDCII are fighting to earn full acceptance back
as German Shepherds in the AKC show ring.
Blues & livers are major faults with AKC & UKC, but are
disqualified because their nose pigment is not black.
Long-coats are also faults with AKC & UKC, but are now
accepted in the SV. More plush-type coats are preferred in most
clubs.
