Here at 'Legacy Shepherds', I specialize in colors of the German Shepherd Dog faulted in the AKC & UKC showrings. This includes variations of blue & liver "dilutions", we also have DNA certified Panda Shepherds under our Kerstone name. These colors are a natural part of the purebred German Shepherd breed. We will focus mostly on the liver color which is NOT associated with any health or temperament problems, when coming from well-bred dogs and bloodlines.

I try to go above and beyond to prove the worthiness of our dogs. This includes lots of health testing, training, and titling to some degree. The minimum health tests our breeding stock must pass include OFA Hips & OFA Elbows, we will also be working towards OFA Cardiac, OFA Thyroid, MDR1 on all breeding stock. Occasionally we may do other health certifications such as the DM Test, TLI tests, CERF, vWF, and so on.

At 'Legacy', I also put a lot of emphasis on correct temperament - confident, loyal, intelligent, and bold. Confident temperament and good working ability is very important to me because that is what the German Shepherd was bred for. To be a versatile working dog. My goal is to produce pups capable of many things, including (but not limited to) Schutzhund, police work, family pets, herding dogs, therapy dogs, service & seeing-eye dogs, detection dogs, Search & Rescue, and hobby performance dogs (tracking, obedience, agility, herding, etc.).
