Rieger
(ree-gur) is neutered and will not be bred. He never lets his
squeaky toys out of his sight! He is the best dog you could ask
for in a family pet, but he isn't very outgoing towards
strangers. Rieger is a born therapy dog... He is GREAT when we
take him to nursing homes! He has a very high prey drive and
LOVES squeaky toys. He also likes playing with and chewing on
basketballs. Did I mention the squeaky toys? (hehe) He loves to
cuddle and is very spoiled. He has a HUGE mouth that he uses for
his constant "smiling" (and carrying his squeaky toys).
His mother is a short-coat and his father is a very nice looking
& moving long-coated UKC Champion. Both parents have OFA Good
Hips & Elbows. Rieger very enthusiastically passed two
"Herding Instinct" tests. The evaluator had lots to say
about him! She said he has more prey drive than herding instinct,
but he is very willing to work with the handler and cooperate.
She also said he is "a very intelligent dog" several
times, making me feel very proud!!
His ears are now almost completely up at 7 years old!!
