Why pay so much for a
puppy?
Kerstone puppies are bred for better conformation, temperament, health, hips, working ability, and correct size.
All Kerstone pups come with written health guarantees. Compare time length & quality of guarantees to those of pet stores and less reputable breeders, I think you will feel much safer having a puppy with guarantees such as mine! (Please NEVER buy any puppy from a pet store - there are too many reasons to list!)
ALL of my puppies are AKC registered.
They are highly intelligent, easily trainable, versatile, & loyal with excellent conformation & movement, impressive appearance, working ability, and good, confident temperament.
Kerstone puppies come from very impressive backgrounds and their ancestors and relatives have accumulated many titles, championships, and other achievements all around the world!
A lot of time and money goes into raising the parents, showing them to become champions, training for & earning titles, having the proper health clearances done, and picking the right mates for the litters. Both of the parents' genetic backgrounds are researched to try and avoid possible future genetic health problems in the pups. I care about my pups and try to keep in touch with all of the owners of them. I do not just sell them and forget about them! I am there for the owner to help them with any problems they may have anytime throughout the entire life of the dog, including taking the dog back if the owner is no longer able to keep it.
A lot of time and money also goes into raising a litter. The pups are handled & played with daily, well socialized, vaccinated at least twice, de-wormed multiple times, tattooed, microchipped, temperament & structure evaluated, and vet checked by the time they are 7 weeks old. They are also partially crate trained, leash broke, and potty trained.
I would like ALL BUYERS & OWNERS of my pups to have health clearances done on their dog whether it will be used for breeding or not. These clearances may include: hips, elbows, hemophilia, eyes, heart, von Willebrand's, thyroid, etc. Because knowing the health of my puppies is so important to me I offer money back for owners who have health clearances done on my pups - see below! The best thing is: little time and no training is required to get this money back!

I recommend reserving
your puppy after you have been approved. Without a $200
NON-refundable reservation deposit (which goes towards the total
price of the pup) I cannot guarantee you a Kerstone puppy.
Pets & companions - $500 to
$900
These are the pups
that do not have show and breeding potential at the time of their
evaluation. They will, however, be excellent companions or family
pets. Some may also be well suited for sports (obedience,
agility, tracking, flyball, etc.) and working jobs (protection,
drug detection, Search & Rescue, herding, etc.). They come
with a spay/neuter contract.
Show & breeding prospects -
$800 to $1500
These are the pups who
have the potential to shine in the conformation ring or bring
future generations of Shepherds into the world. They have correct
conformation, coat, pigment, both testicles in males, and good
temperament at the time of their evaluation. These pups may also
be well suited for sports (obedience, agility, tracking, flyball,
etc.) and working jobs (protection, drug detection, Search &
Rescue, herding, etc.).
Shipping - around
$300-$350 for 8-week-old pups
International shipping is available to some countries. Shipping
is available to all continental United States and Canada. Most
pups will be flown out from the Salina, KS airport. I do
encourage people to come pick up their pups at my home if
possible. The price given above for shipping covers air fare,
plastic shipping crate, and veterinary health certificate. Some
flights may be slightly higher in price, & price will
increase a bit with size & age of the puppy.
Send a photo and a copy of the certificate for *any* achievement and your Kerstone puppy will have its own webpage on my website!
